Working with BattleSnap Terrain

ASSEMBLY

WarMill BattleSnap terrain is laser-cut from 3mm MDF. This gives it a precision that allows most of the kits to be assembled without glue, so that it can be quickly dismantled after your gaming session for storage. Some kits will require glue, for these any PVA or wood glue will be sufficient, although most contact adhesives or superglue will work just fine.

CUTTING AND SANDING

BattleSnap Terrain should not need any cutting or sanding, however MDF can be machined, cut, sanded, drilled etc very well should you wish to modify it. However, please be aware that sanding or cutting MDF can produce dust that can pose a health risk. For this reason:

IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO ANY CUTTING OR SANDING OF MDF PLEASE:

WEAR A DUST MASK

OR

WORK IN A VENTILATED OR OUTDOOR AREA

Any activity that creates particulates (dust) can present a health hazard. If you sand anything, whether foam, resin, MDF, plastic, etc you should wear a dust mask or be in a ventilated area.

PAINTING

MDF takes paint very well, and paint will not chip or flake off under normal use. You can use pretty much any paint; acrylic, cellulose, emulsion etc. You may wish to use a sanding sealer prior to painting to achieve a very smooth finish, but as standard the finish is very good.
